EVENT FAQS

What is this Summit?

The 2019 Chief of Staff Summit is the first annual meeting of cross-sector Chiefs of Staff in the United States.  It provides informative and educational programming and networking opportunities for Chiefs of Staff. It is the first event of its kind to be offered exclusively for the Chief of Staff role.

What is Prime Chief of Staff?

Started in 2014, Prime Chief of Staff offers a full suite of services to organizations employing the Chief of Staff role. We also convene a fast-growing Chief of Staff community through The Chief of Staff Collective—a group of impressive thinkers and resourceful doers who embrace change, and believe the greater good of all is better than the success of one. Learn more about Prime at www.primechiefofstaff.com.

Why this Summit?

It’s the only one of its kind! No other day-long event exists that is exclusive to the Chief of Staff role.

What are the benefits of attending the Summit?

The Summit will offer the following benefits to all of its attendees:

  • Educational programming: There are few resources that exist for today’s Chief of Staff. This Summit provides tangible education for your position that you can enact immediately—regardless of your industry or sector. There will be panel discussions, keynote speeches, and breakout sessions tailored to informing your Chief of Staff role.
  • Inspirational guidance: Every professional needs motivation! This Summit will inspire and motivate you with thought-provoking and original messaging and ideas.
  • Networking opportunities: We know you rarely get the opportunity to meet your fellow Chief of Staff colleagues. This event will offer connection and camaraderie with your peers from across the globe.
  • Best practice sharing / collaborative thinking: The best ideas can come when we chat with others about our challenges or projects. Being together with your peers will spark thinking and best practice sharing that you can bring back to your workplace.
  • Exhibitor/sponsor networking: Meet sponsor companies with a vested interest in the Chief of Staff audience at our exhibitor booths. It may be an opportunity to find a new vendor or partner for your organization.

How long is the Summit?

The Summit takes place on one day—Friday, November 1, 2019—from 8am-6pm EDT in Washington, DC.

Do you offer a group discount for organizations employing multiple Chiefs of Staff?

Yes, we offer a group discount to those registering five or more Chiefs of Staff from the same organization. Please email info@primechiefofstaff.com for more information.

What is covered in my registration fee?

Do you have advice for speaking to my employer about attending the Summit?

Yes! Consider downloading this PDF to share with your principal about why your attendance at the Summit is valuable. Review the bullets below for other ideas.

  • Include an event agenda or speaker bios of the educational offerings you plan to attend. Explain how those offerings will help advance your organization’s goals and find solutions to the challenges it faces.
  • Provide a list of current and potential peers, speakers, or sponsors you want to meet with and what you plan to discuss with them. Emphasize the cost-effectiveness of being able to meet with so many colleagues from across the globe in one place.
  • If cost is a concern, take advantage of our early bird registration rates. If your organization employs multiple Chiefs of Staff, consider taking advantage of our group registration discount.
  • Commit to sharing your Summit experience with your principal and colleagues when you return. Discuss your impressions, the information and contacts you brought back, and how you plan to apply what you learned.
  • Remember this is a professional development opportunity. Tell your principal that an investment in the 2019 Chief of Staff Summit is not only for your benefit, but for both of you and for the organization.
